Stars W.A.R (Winter Adventure Race)

Race Format

With waist deep snow 2025 was an epic adventure for all who registered. Will 2026 be similar? Or will the race be like 2024 where those light of foot could surf over the crust? Only time will tell.

Our 2026 race will return to Wasaga but run in areas of the park that are new or have not been used for a few years.

The race format will be teams of 2 and competitors will have 2.5 hours to visit as many checkpoints as they can. Don't be late because the penalty can be steep.

Post race we will over a warm meal and snacks/drinks to help recover the lost calories.

Race Schedule

8:55-9:45 Registration and Map Distribution @ Klondike Sports Park

10:00am Race Start

(during the entire race, there will be a warm location on site, for family members and racers to convene and warm up)

12:30pm Race Finish

1:00pm Race results released and prizes awarded

Race Location

Wasaga Beach Provincial Park - The race will run in areas that have been rarely used in the past. The map was recently updated in fall 2023.

Race Registration: Klondike Sports Park (1888 Klondike Park Rd, Wasaga Beach, ON)

Race Fees

We are offering a special rate for any team that registers as part of the Stars OCUP race.

$90 for adult teams and $70 for junior or parent/child teams. Offer will expire on Nov 23 @ 11:59 pm

Normal Fee: $135 until Feb 8 at 11:59 pm

Late Fee : $150 until Feb 19 at 11.59 pm

Junior Teams or Family Teams: $85 until Feb 8 at11:59 pm, $95 after that.

Required Gear

Each team member is required to carry the following:

• Emergency blanket
• Compass
• Whistle
• At least 500 ml water

Each team is required to carry the following:

• 1 set of race maps
• SI timing chip (to be provided by the race organizers)
• First aid kit (able to treat small injuries/bleeding)
