Kick Start and Starry Night O-Cup Races Orienteering Ontario O-Cup
November 23rd 2024 2:00pm - 8:00pm
Kick-Start the 2024-2025 O-CUP season with two races in one day! The Stars present Kick-Start, a great O-CUP By Day, AND Starry Night, an O-CUP After Dark! O-CUP points will be awarded separately for each race, so it is a great chance to leap to the front of the O-CUP standings.
All participants must complete a waiver (adults here or minors here) on race day. Paper copies will be available at the registration desk for those who do not print their own.
Race Location
Afternoon Event - Petersburg (Google Map Link)
The afternoon event will use a brand new map.
There are 2 parking lots on site that can hold no more than 10 cars. Please try to car pool. There is ample parking at the Sunrise Center at Fisher-Hallman and Ottawa street.
Registration for the afternoon event will take place near the parking lot. There are no washrooms on site.
Evening Event - Waterloo Park
Registration for the evening event will be at the skate park parking lot located on Father David Bauer Dr (Google Map Link).
Washrooms can be accessed across the road at the recreation complex.

Important Dates
- Registration opens: October 7th
- Early Bird Fees end: October 25th at 11:59pm Extended to October 27th
- Registration closes: November 21st at 11:59pm
Fees
There will be limited registration on race day.
- Adult Fee for 2 races : $35 (before Oct 25) $45 (after Oct 25) (Free for Stars and ARK-KW)
- Adult Fee for 1 race: $30 (before Oct 25) $35 (after Oct 25) (Free for Stars and ARK-KW)
- Junior/Student: $15
Race Day Fee is limited to 10 registrants, first come first served.
Handicap
Both Kick-Start and Starry Night follow the O-CUP handicap rules. Participants have the option to skip checkpoints in each box equal to their handicap point total. Handicap points for this year's course will be awarded as follows:

The ORIENTEERING ONTARIO O-CUP is a gnarly winter running adventure where runners must conquer wicked hills, deep snow, icy trails, navigational challenges in rugged terrain, and escape their comfort zone in the extremes of Ontario's winter!
